CONCORD FLIPS FOR PANCAKES!

The crowds came out in droves for this yearÕs Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast & Corn on the Cob Fundraiser.  Thousands came to the Todos Santos Plaza in downtown Concord and they brought their appetites.

Special thanks to Dirk, Karen, Beri, Dan, Joe, Al, Heather & family, Nancy Wentling, Maureen, Fred, Richard, Kathy, Greg, Lois Grassi, John, Jeff, Pat, Betty, Hilary Bechelli, and Teresa!  Without your hard work and dedication we couldnÕt have been as successful as we were!

JACKSON WHITE UPDATE

As youÕll recall Past Prez John organized a Herculean effort to retrofit young Jackson WhiteÕs home so that he could come home from Duke University after treatment for KrabbeÕs Disease.

We received the following great news update from Jackson WhiteÕs Grandmother, Margie this morning:

ŅWanted to share an inspiring picture Jackson standing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What hope this is for his future.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Showing off his strength, determination, trust and patience and he still smiles through it all. He has once again given us all a look at what we should try to carry in are hearts everyday. You are such a special little boy. God has blessed you and us all by knowing you as we all continue to pray for full recovery and "grow donor cells grow"

You can read more about JacksonÕs progress through a link to his web site at www.CDRotary.org

NEXT WEEKÕS MEETING A GREAT ONE FOR GUESTS!

Next week Michael Mendon¨a will be speaking to us about a prosthetic hand project he has been working on this past year.  His compelling story is a very real example of what one Rotarian can do to potentially change thousands of lives around the world.

You wonÕt want to miss it!  This is also a great opportunity to bring a guest to show them the true power of Rotary!

BUSINESS NEWS YOU CAN USE!

Maureen Kilmoury let us know about a brand new business web site thatÕs been put together by the Contra Costa Library!

So, dust off your library card to get online (if you donÕt have one, just ask Maureen, sheÕll tell you how to get one)

The information on the site is exceptional.  They have brought together a number of different resources for you to use to grow and manage your business.  All in one place!  The site is well laid out and itÕs very easy to navigate.

ThereÕs even more information available inside the library!  You can access databases that would cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars if you tried on your own!  ALL FOR FREE!!!

So, if youÕre like me, and hadnÕt been in the library since you were in high school, get in there now!  You really shouldnÕt pass up this great free service!

ItÕs sure not your motherÕs library!  YouÕll be amazed at all you can do online!

You can access the business site at:
